DATE: 20.02.2024 VENUE: The Malt Lounge and Bar, Prince Room ABOUT: We are proud to have been chosen as the venue for the debut of Disney+’s show Shogun. We welcomed numerous industry figures for a full day of premiere activities, starting with an authentic Japanese tea ceremony in The Malt Lounge and Bar. Guests then moved to The Suite, where we curated a bespoke space for a master calligrapher to create a large calligraphy piece featuring the word “Shogun.” The day continued in the Prince Room with canapés, sushi, a Japanese calligraphy workshop, and an exclusive screening of the Shogun premiere.
The FX series, a historical drama set in feudal Japan and also streaming on Hulu, entered the 76th Emmy Awards with 25 nominations—the most of any show this year. It emerged as the biggest winner, taking home 18 trophies across both the Creative Arts Emmys and Primetime Emmy Award ceremonies.
